Movie

A 100% independent film that I wrote, filmed, and starred in. It was shot entirely without leaving home during the real-time 2020 lockdown in San Sebastian, Spain.

 

The film features collaborations from actors like Gorka Aguinagalde, Oscar Terol, Beatriz Rico, and Julian Jantzi, among many others. Each performer recorded their part from home using their own mobile phone.

 

BEHIND THE MASK

The documentary delves into the personal stories of these "legions of rebels" who, despite living in difficult times, refuse to lose hope and fight for a better future. Through their testimonials, we discover what motivates them to put on the iconic costumes of characters like Stormtroopers or Mandalorians.

 

"BEHIND THE MASK" reveals the faces and stories of these individuals, celebrating their commitment and showing that behind every helmet, there is a heart of solidarity.

SONS OF THE EARTH

Winner of the Spanish Academy Goya Award for Best Documentary Short Film, 'Hijos de la Tierra' (Sons of the Earth) is a documentary that explores humanity's lost connection with nature, revealing the high price we are paying for this disconnect.

 

I was responsible for the film's concept, screenplay, direction, and editing.

This spot was a wonderful project with my dear friend, Oscar Terol. He developed the idea and starred in it, while I took on the camera work and editing.

We were commissioned by The PINK Force Foundation on behalf of the Gipuzkoa Blood Donors Association.



 

THE MONKEY'S ISLAND

In his final years, Captain Ignacio Martinez dedicated his life to the Stella Maris club, a welcoming haven in the port of Pasaia. It was a place where seafarers from every corner of the globe could find a moment of peace and connection.

Sadly, 'The Captain,' as he was known, left this world in 2024 while this film about him was still in production.

The teaser was presented at the Cultura Inquieta and Iberdrola Micro-Film Contest, earning the first prize.
